Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser

A Q-switched Nd:YAG delivers ultra-fast pulses of light that shatter unwanted pigment without heating the surrounding skin. The same platform clears tattoos, evens out laser-toning targets, and powers the popular "Hollywood" carbon peel — choosing the right protocol per patient is the skill.

FAQ

Common questions about Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser.

How many sessions to remove a tattoo?
Most amateur tattoos clear in 4–6 sessions; professional black ink in 8–12. Multi-coloured ink is more variable — we set realistic expectations after a test patch.
Is laser toning safe for melasma?
At low fluence, with short courses and careful spacing, yes. Aggressive parameters can worsen melasma; we calibrate carefully and pause if rebound is seen.
What is a carbon peel?
A thin layer of carbon lotion is applied, then the laser is fired over it. Carbon absorbs the energy, deep-cleaning pores and giving an instant brightening effect — popular before events.
