What to expect

A measured, four-stage process.

Step 01

Blood draw

Standard venepuncture, ~20ml, collected into dedicated GFC tubes.

Step 02

Activation

The collected blood is left to stand for about 30 minutes — this activates the platelets and releases their growth factors.

Step 03

Centrifugation

The sample is then spun down to separate and concentrate the pure growth-factor layer.

Step 04

Microinjection

The concentrate is microinjected into the scalp or skin.

FAQ

Common questions about GFC (Growth Factor) Therapy.

How is GFC different from PRP?
Traditional PRP varies from patient to patient and batch to batch — its strength depends on your own platelet count and the technique used on the day, so two sessions are rarely identical. GFC is a refined next step: the platelets are first activated to release their growth factors, which are then concentrated into a standardised, cell-free preparation. The result is a much higher and more consistent dose of the pure growth factors that drive hair regrowth and tissue repair (PDGF, VEGF, EGF, IGF and others), without the red cells and variable platelet load of conventional PRP. In practice that means more predictable, reproducible sessions and a cleaner injection with less irritation.
Is there any downtime after GFC?
No — there is no downtime. You can return to your normal day straight after a session. We simply ask you to avoid washing the scalp for the first 24 hours so the growth factors settle in.
