Post-treatment care.
A treatment is half our work and half yours. The hours and days after a session are when your skin decides whether the result lasts. These are the rules we ask every patient to follow.
For peels, lasers & microneedling.
Be a sun-avoider
Your skin is more vulnerable after a laser, peel, or microneedling session. A broad-spectrum mineral SPF 50, applied generously and re-applied every 3–4 hours, is non-negotiable for the first 2 weeks. Wear a wide-brimmed hat outdoors. Avoid direct sun for at least 4 weeks before your next laser session — sun exposure is the single most common reason results stall or pigmentation rebounds.
Keep it cool
For the first 48 hours: no hot showers, no steam rooms, no sauna, no heavy sweating from gym or yoga. Heat dilates blood vessels and worsens redness, swelling, and bruising. Lukewarm water and gentle dabbing — not rubbing — is the rule when you wash your face.
Hands off
Do not pick at scabs, peeling skin, or small crusts. They are doing their job. Let them shed when they are ready — usually 5–10 days after a laser or medium peel. Picking is the leading cause of post-procedure pigmentation and small textural scars.
Gentle products only
Switch to a soap-free, fragrance-free cleanser and a simple ceramide-based moisturiser for the first 5–7 days. Pause your active ingredients — retinol, glycolic / lactic / salicylic acids, vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide — until we tell you it is safe to restart. Returning to actives too early is the most common cause of avoidable irritation and dark marks.
A note for Indian skin
Indian skin is more prone to post-inflammatory tanning after almost any procedure. Use your prescribed sunscreen indoors as well as outdoors during the recovery window — windows, screens, and ambient daylight all contribute. This single habit protects your result more than any cream we can prescribe.
Questions or concerns?
Mild redness, light swelling, dryness, and brief sensitivity are expected after most procedures and settle on their own. Feel free to call our clinic, should you have any questions or concerns regarding your treatment or aftercare, on +91 808 750 6161 or WhatsApp.
For laser hair removal, advanced peels & scalp therapy.
After laser hair removal
Mild redness or warmth in treated areas for a few hours is normal. For 24–48 hours: no hot showers, no sauna, no heavy gym session, no swimming pools. Mineral SPF 50 on any exposed treated skin — strict sun protection before and after each session is the single biggest factor in your result. Between sessions, do not wax, pluck, or thread the area; shaving is fine and does not affect the laser.
After an advanced peel
Visible flaking from day 3–5 is the peel doing its job — let it shed naturally and resist picking. Soap-free, fragrance-free cleanser for the first 5–7 days; pause retinol, vitamin C, and exfoliating acids until we tell you to restart. Mineral SPF 50 every morning, reapplied through the day. Avoid heat, steam, and saunas for 48 hours. Mineral makeup is usually safe from day 2–3 onwards.
After GFC, mesotherapy or LLLT for the scalp
Do not wash your hair for 24 hours after GFC or scalp mesotherapy — give the growth factors time to absorb. Avoid harsh shampoos, hair colour, or chemical treatments for 5–7 days. No swimming, sauna, or vigorous exercise for 48 hours. Sleep on your back the first night to keep the scalp undisturbed. LLLT itself has no downtime — you can wash and style as usual.
