Skin Biopsy

When a rash, growth, or pigmented lesion does not have a clear-cut clinical diagnosis, a small skin sample sent to a histopathology lab gives the definitive answer. We use it sparingly — only when the result will change the plan.

FAQ

Common questions about Skin Biopsy.

Will it leave a scar?
A small flat mark, usually faint within 2–3 months. We choose discreet sites where possible.
Is the wait worth it?
When the picture is uncertain, a histopathology report is the most reliable way to plan correct, focused treatment — and avoid months of trial-and-error.
When do I get the report?
Most reports return in 5–7 working days. Specialised stains may take longer.
